Beginning Preventative Care for Puppies and Kittens:
To ensure that your puppy/kitten receives complete preventative care to protect against disease, we recommend a series of three visits. During these visits, your pet will receive all vaccinations needed to maintain good health. In addition, a veterinarian will thoroughly examine your pet to identify any potential problems.
Because your pet's health and wellbeing will depend on more than just vaccinations, we will sit down and talk with you about caring for your new puppy or kitten, training and behavior concerns, and answer any questions you might have.
Puppy and Kitten series visits consist of:
- Comprehensive Physical Exam
- Discussion of internal parasite (worm) testing and treatment
- Discussion of the benefits of microchipping
- Puppy Vaccinations:
- Distemper
- Canine Parvovirus
- Adenovirus
- Bordetella
- Corona
- Rabies
- Evaluation of any other necessary vaccinations based on risk
- Kitten Vaccinations:
- Feline Calicivirus
- Feline Rhinotracheitis
- Rabies
- Panleukopenia
- Evaluation of any other necessary vaccinations based on risk
- Recommendations for spay/neuter at 4-6 months
- Pet owner counseling regarding pet care, early dental care, housebreaking, behavior problems and socialization.
